It took the CRYSTALMARK Dental Systems , Inc. R & D Department the better part of a year to develop the unique air abrasion resistant coating that has made this mirror (patented) the talk amongst discriminating air abrasion users.  The mirror has been designed to withstand the indirect blasts of abrasive powder that are part and parcel of air abrasion dentistry.  

The majority of air abrasion operative dentistry procedures "eat up" an average of two to three mirrors per procedure, particularly when indirect vision is used.  An interesting side effect of using too many mirrors is that the dentist, in an effort to conserve mirrors, will have a tendency to migrate towards direct vision.  This leads to obvious long-term deleterious effects on one's back.  With air abrasion mirror utilization, this scenario is a thing of the past.  One can use the mirror throughout the procedure and not once have to put your back at risk.

The mirrors come gold-plated for ease of identification by your staff and fit the standard #5 cone socket handle.  They are also certified for steam autoclaving.  Dentists have used the mirrors in over 500 procedures / autoclave cycles, and the mirrors are still intact.

Congratulations on your purchase of another fine Crystal Air™ product. The patented Crystal Air ™ Air Abrasion Resistant Mirror is unquestionably guaranteed against mechanical failure, regardless of age. CRYSTALMARK Dental Systems , Inc. however, cannot guarantee the product against common user errors, specifically

1.) Blasting the surface of the mirror directly with the abrasive stream
2.) Twisting the mirror head off of the stem when screwing or unscrewing the handle to the mirror. Also excluded - The gold plating of the stem and handle will wear off in the course of normal use and this is not guaranteed against.

Both of these conditional outcomes are excluded from the guarantee. In order to support our clients in the case of such an event occuring, our guarantee includes a product support program. This program entails the allowance for two factory rebuilds of your mirror over the life of the mirror. Each rebuild costs $45 dollars and entails a complete overhaul of the mirror including complete replacement should that be necessary.
